US Masters 2012 - News from Augusta 2012

With the Augusta 2012 USMasters course looking set to ride at 7800 yards the US championship will remain a true test of the big hitters in golf. Fairway accuracy remains paramount for the US Masters 2012 but of course putting has to be the strongest element with such fierce greens as seen at Augusta.

Hitting long remains ideal but if the payer's a poor putter he surely suffer.

So far according to USPGA Stats SergioGarcia, not Tiger Woods remains the strongest putter. Can the spaniard be a contender at the USMasters 2012?

Arnold Palmer Invitational a Prelude to Augusta

Well it's amazing to see Tiger Woods -8 under (in second place) only 1 behind the leader J Dufner.

Can it be that he really is not ill at all and his injury is a ruse to trick the Augusta crows into writing him off?

Can Tiger Woods really be back in action for the US Masters at Augusta 2012? My money is looking likely to back him I just want to see his third round performance at the Arnold Palmer to get a truer understanding of this great player!

Both Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia are looking strong with both sitting on -5 under. Can thess three players look strong at the Augusta. Think to yourself is the main thought, as all look strong at present.

Lets hope for a strong Masters 2012.

Who will win Augusta 2012 US Masters?

Well as the warm-ups are soon to start and with Tiger Woods apparently already having played the Augusta, it will be interesting to note if this advantage has given the once world champion the chance to win at Augusta 2012.

My money however is looking likely to settle on a lower (although younger player) such as Bubba Watson or even Rory McIlory - he was once world number one, but now Luke Donald is the world champ!

Could Charl do it?It seems unlikely as the odds on last years winner winning a sucessive Augusta seems slim.

Augusta 2012 US Masters a Green Jacket Run!

Well its safe to sayAugusta 2012 is steaming up to be a really great showcase of the worlds best golfers. The question remains though who will cherish the Green Jacket?

The Augusta course usually remains a firm favourite with southern based USplayers, but as is the nature of Augusta upsets are par for the course!

Playing at over 7800 yards the Augusta course remains challenging even to todays long hitters. Many a top world gofer has fallen foul of the punishing greens and tough approaches.

This year 2012 expect nothing less from Augusta! As the competition gets hot posts will appear on this blog of the top contenders and why it's likely they will win the coverted USMasters 2012.

Golf Swing with ease

Out on the course this weekend I was hit by a sudden realsiation that my swing had become far too "Body-centered". I was effectively swinging the club around my body and causing all sorts of mishaps like hooking the ball sharply to my left. I am a right handed golfer. Having made the concious effort to swing the club over my finishing shoulder I discoverd my golf swing instantly improved in terms of accuracy and distance. My only thought was how to finish the swing, rather than focusing on hitting the ball.

Try this next time, visualise a balanced finish with the club travelling over your finishing shoulder, it worked for me as I hit a Gross 86 with a Net of 68 and a very tidy 40 points Stableford.
